About
Chromatic Flavors: Blue Where Gastronomy Meets Art History After the debut edition exploring the world of red, Chromatic Flavors returns with a new immersive chapter: Blue . Created by Plates & Mates x BSAK , this multidisciplinary dining experience explores colour through gastronomy, art, and atmosphere. Across history, blue has carried many meanings and forms from precious ultramarine pigments in Renaissance paintings and indigo dyeing traditions to modern art, textiles, architecture, and design. For this edition, we chose Rotterdam, a city where blue quietly appears through water reflections, harbour light, open skies, glass, steel, and movement. The evening takes place inside the studio of contemporary Dutch visual artist Sasja Hagens, known for her monumental paintings and sculptures inspired by atmosphere, movement, and maritime forms — creating a natural dialogue with the world of blue. Throughout the evening, guests will move through a curated walking dinner experience, where the chromatic universe of blue unfolds through flavour, texture, aroma, and sensation — by Chef Canberk Temel. Event Details: 📅 Saturday, 30 May 🕠 17:30 — 20:30 📍 Sasja Hagens Artist Studio, Ackersdijkstraat 20 3037 VH Rotterdam 🍽️ Walking dinner experience 🥂 Ticket includes walking dinner + 2 soft drinks or wines, per person. 🎟️ Limited capacity Join us for an evening where colour becomes edible, and art history becomes something you can taste.
